Feel it in your skin
Always with a guitar in her hands to give music sensitive and energetic poetry, the singer from the Canary Islands Rosana continues to reap success thanks to her passionate and lively style. Her perpetual smile returns to the stage to present her latest album, “En la memoria de la piel” (2016), ‘In the memory of the skin’, with new eleven songs in which the artist shows her soul, and explores small things, the imperceptible, all that, at the end, is what matters the most.
She keeps the faith in the principles that settled down her successful debut, “Lunas Rotas” (1996), the fastest album to reach number one in Spanish music history, including songs like “Talismán”, “A fuego lento” o “Si tú no estás”, classics that have stayed through the years in the heart of the Spanish and Latin American audience. Her cool rhythm, portentous voice and positive spirit are not only loved in Spain, and that debut album was released in more than 30 countries. Then, it came “Luna nueva” (1998), her second LP, where she showed more maturity, alternating lively songs with romantic ones, a formula she repeats in her eight studio albums. She was combining her job as a songwriter for other singers with her own career just before she published “Rosana” (2001), in which she shows all her personality with songs like the energetic “Pa ‘ti no estoy”. The success continued with her following albums.
Her live albums are a good proof of her live shows’ magic. For example, “De casa a Las Ventas”, in which 18,000 people sing along her hits, or “Marca Registrada”. Her live show is filled with pure, positive folk-pop. When you see her live, she makes you feel better, a feeling that remains forever in the ‘memory of the skin’.
